In Texas: when you are injured on the job, or have a work-related illness, the Division of Workers’ Compensation, Texas Department of Insurance (TDI), sets the framework for medical treatment and rehabilitation.
You may receive medical treatment from the doctor of your choice, up to six times within two weeks of your injury. After the sixth visit, you are required to see a Workers’ Compensation Healthcare Network (WCHN) doctor. TDI maintains an approved doctors’ list (ADL) from which you can select. As a Certified WCHN provider, Patients Choice clinics are on all network lists and can provide you with the care you need.
